Samantha Strunk-Hintz
Hello! My name is Samantha Strunk-Hintz and through the various components of this e-portfolio - showing my hobbies, resume, various papers I've written over the past years, and other things - I hope you can get a glimpse into who I am. Where to start?
I am currently a junior at Northern Arizona University majoring in Secondary Education/Social Studies and minoring in Anthropology. Throughout my educational career I have consistently set high standards for myself and I am extremely passionate and dedicated to whatever I set my mind to, and though college life can be really stressful I'm loving almost every minute of it!
Before coming to NAU, I grew up all around the state of Oregon and most of my childhood was spent outdoors in the beautiful Willamette Valley. I've always been a very enthusiastic and curious person and by the time I got into junior high I was involved in pretty much every school activity imaginable: sports (basketball, volleyball, track), academic team, student government, music (band and choir), and volunteering. That enthusiasm for life and wanting to succeed in every aspect is still an integral part of me that I carry around no matter where I go.
When I'm not in school I intern as an administrative assistant an Intel Corp, perform in an Alumni Jazz band made up of many of my peers from high school, and spend as much time as possible with my enormous family back in Oregon. While college life takes over the majority of my life, I am also extremely active during my free time. I love to hike, camp, fish, perform in various musical gigs, and travel. Having been to eight countries, I will be on my way to the ninth in January to study abroad in Limerick, Ireland.
